The WRDTP Wellbeing, Health and Communities Interdisciplinary Pathwayaddresses the grand challenges for health and wellbeing in communitieswith a commitment to addressing inequalities linked to marginality,including disability. This project speaks to the grand challenges identifiedby the pathway by focusing on the health and wellbeing concerns ofdisabled carers that are currently under-represented in research, policy andpractise. This project will attend to the disabled people's experience ofintersectional forms of marginalisation in access to health and social careto promote well being, including race, gender, (hetero)sexuality, poverty,class and disability The project draws on multidisciplinary perspectivesfrom health, social care, social work, educational psychology, occupationaltherapy, and physiotherapy.
