英文摘要
Additive construction technology (ACT) can allow the free-form construction of concrete structures with complex geometries without the use of expensive and waste-generating formwork. However, several challenges must be overcome before ACT can be routinely implemented in the construction sector. One of the main challenges is the integration of reinforcement in ACT. It is very difficult to incorporate conventional steel reinforcements into ACT. To tackle this challenge, this project aims to develop an easy-to-implement thin cementitious overlay to replace the need for conventional reinforcement in additively manufactured concrete structures. This project is expected to facilitate the adoption of the ACT in the construction industry.
