Co/Ni superalloys are interesting by virute of their relatively low solvus temperatures for their gamma prime phase volumefraction, which makes them attractive for applciations involving mechanical working, such as forged blades and containmentcasings. In this project we will examines the mechanisms of microstructure development for these applications in a developmentCo/Ni superalloy, using advanced microscopy techniques such as 4D NBED STEM, atom probe microscopy and synchrotorn Xrayscattering.
