英文摘要
The project aims to tackle some of the pressing challenges in quantum communication by integrating CNOT gates within entanglement-based wavelength-division-multiplexed quantum key distribution (WDM-QKD) networks. This will be achieved through silicon photonic chips as they offer scalable, integrable and efficient platforms for these operations, particularly focusing on demonstrating low-loss, high fidelity and high performance. The experiment will involve the generation and distribution of bi-partite entangled states to quantum end nodes, using wavelength multiplexing to form a fully connected network amongst all users. The operation of CNOT gates on those entangled states will facilitate communication between several quantum computers, therefore bridging the current gap between quantum communication and computation, and advancing us towards the realisation of a fully deployable quantum internet.
