Richard Nuccitelli has been collaborating with the BRC to develop a new instrument called the Bioelectric Field Imager (BFI). This project began in September of 2002 and is now supported by an NIH Phase II SBIR award to his company, RPN Research. A provisional patent application Ser. No. 60/534910 was filed January 8, 2004. The main purpose of this instrument is to rapidly image the electric field of small regions of human skin for diagnostic applications.
