The purposes of this study are to investigate the correlation between exercise echocardiography and neurohormonal activation in asymptomic patients with severe mitral regurgitation and normal rest ventricular function and comparison of exercise echocardiography to neurohormonal plasma levels for detecting impending left ventricular dysfunction in asymptomatic patients with severe mitral regurgitation.
