英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The safety, survival and anti-tumor effect of infusions of T cells following lymphodepletion are evaluated in this study. Lymphodepletion is a process using radiation or drugs (in this case, fludarabine) to lower the white blood cell count (WBC) in patients. The body responds to lowered WBC by producing T cell growth factors. We hypothesize that T cells infused at this time will respond to these growth factors by expanding and their survival will increase, leading to an improved anti-tumor response. Outcome measures for this study include toxicity, T cell survival after infusion, tumor shrinkage, and loss of targeted antigen expression by the tumor after T cell infusion.
