Steve Rawlings is Head of Astrophysics at Oxford, and PI of the observational astrophysics rolling grant and the SKA Design Study grant. Dimitra Rigopoulou is an internationally-recognised expert in far-infrared and sub-millimetre astronomy who is currently jointly funded by Oxford and RAL to coordinate participation in upcoming facilities like Herschel and ALMA. She will manage UK ALMA activity at Oxford. She will work closely with the Oxford SKADS simulation team, and specifically Ian Heywood who will develop ALMA simulation tools (alongside Francois Viallefond and Francois Levrier in Paris.
