Project Summary/Abstract National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC) represents central Agency for public health in Georgia which main mission is protection and improvement of the health of Georgian population through scientific evidence-based prevention, preparedness and timely response to the public health threats. To fulfil the primary mission of protection on public health and meet the Global Health Security (GHS) Agenda which represent a shared responsibility among different partners/agencies both within and outside of the health sector, The NCDC in with collaboration with CDC and local institutions within the collaborative grant project titled “Conducting research on diseases of global and local public health importance to create scientific basis for implementation and enhancement of public health policies and practices in Georgia” (RFA-GH-20-004 Conducting Public Health Research in Georgia) is planning to implement two research projects : #1 Study of Etiology, Risk Factors and Molecular Epidemiology of Zoonotic and Vector-borne Acute Febrile Illnesses in Georgia, 2020-2025 and #2 Molecular epidemiology and associated risk- factors of multi-drug resistant pathogens, in Georgia, 2020-2025
