项目摘要

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. Hypothesis 1: Former Chronic Abdominal Pain (CAP) patients will be significantly more likely than former well controls to have CAP and to meet the diagnostic criteria for FGIDs, migraine headache, and psychiatric disorders. aims are to assess the relationship between baseline risk factors and long-term outcomes for individuals with pediatric onset of CAP and to compare, under experimental conditions, potential psychological and physiological mechanisms that may contribute to health outcomes in pediatric onset of CAP.
