NU 98X3: IRINOTECAN (CPT-11) AND GEMCITABINE IN PATIENTS WITH SOLID TUMORS

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This study involves treatment with two intravenous chemotherapy drugs: Irinotecan (CPT-11) and Gemcitabine. While both drugs have been utilized separately for the treatment of a wide variety of cancers, the best dose and schedule has yet to be determined when using them together. The purpose of this study is to discover the highest dose of CPT-11 that can be given safely with Gemcitabine.
