This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. This is an open label, non-randomized, pharmacokinetic pilot study designed to evaluate the effects of levetiracetam (LEV) on the pharmacokinetics of lopinavir/ritonavir (LPV/r). The primary aim is to identify the effect of LEV co-administration on the steady state pharmacokinetics LPV/r among HIV patients being treated with this agent.
