英文摘要
The T2K (Tokai-to-Kamiokande) experiment studies neutrino oscillations, a quantum mechanical phenomena in which a neutrino produced in one of three "flavors" traverses some distance and interacts as a different flavor. The establishment of neutrino oscillations has confirmed that the neutrinos do in fact mass, whereas the Standard Model of particle physics had assigned them zero mass. The pattern of neutrino masses and oscillation modes are fundamental to understanding the structure of the Standard Model of elementary particles, and also has significance for cosmological issues of how the universe evolved from the Big Bang to its current state.
