项目摘要

The main objective of the applicant's research program is to advance and carry out experimental work that should contribute to the understanding of the mechanistic action and biocatalysis of selected immobilized enzymes, obtained from microbial sources, in non-conventional media, in particular organic solvent media (OSM). Although the research work carried out by the candidate addressed the immobilization and biocatalysis of lipoxygenase/hydroperoxide lyase system in OSM, the stability of these enzymes as well the elucidation of their mechanistic action in OSM are still among the major challenges to be overcome. The acquired knowledge oratory led us to move to novel horizons in research, in particular the use of nanotechnology approach for enzyme immobilization as well as modeling and ioinformatics for setting the experimental design and investigating the enzyme-substrate interaction.
