This project is an innovative reassessment of Charlotte Brontë's writing within the paradigm of Romanticism. For the first time, this project analyses Charlotte Brontë as a Romantic rather than a Victorian, revealing the creative origins of her work and the ideological role that aesthetics plays in creating meaning.
