The general objective of my research program is to increase our understanding of how organisms process and retain information. To accomplish this objective, I study the behavior of pigeons in procedures requiring that information be retained for short intervals. I intend to continue this line of investigation during the next granting period and, in particular, to focus on the issues noted below.
