英文摘要
When rats are given a series of repeated focal seizures, the focal seizures gradually spread to the whole brain to become focal-generalized seizures. This is called "kindling". The kindling phenomenon involves permanent changes in the brain. The present project is designed to localize those brain changes, and to study them. Animals will be kindled from a deep brain site called the "amygdala".
