Cette demande vise l'acquisition d'un système de microscopie Zeiss Axio Imager A2 muni d'un système de caméra digitale monochrome Axiocam Mrm et couleur Axiocam ERC5s pour réaliser nos projets de recherche sur les écosystèmes d'eau douce et marins des régions polaires et tempérées. Ces études sont subventionnées par le CRSNG et le FRQNT et effectuées en étroite collaboration dans deux laboratoires associés au Centre d'Études Nordiques (CEN) de l'Université Laval (équipes de Pienitz, R. et Vincent, W.F.). Le besoin est réellement urgent pour: a) remplacer l'équipement qui ne correspond plus aux standards internationaux; b) être compétitif dans nos domaines de recherche et pour conserver nos collaborations avec d'autres laboratoires et groupes de recherche; et c) réaliser nos projets de recherche actuels et futurs.
