New Physics at the Terascale: optimizing searches and characterizing discoveries at the Large Hadron Collider and other experiments

Canada has made an enormous investment in the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), mostly in the LHC's experimental groups. Nevertheless, due to LHC's complex environment and the variety of new physics to search for, the experimentalists need theory guidance to best capitalize on this investment. In this proposal I describe how my team will contribute to the LHC's program in a unique way. By combining a sound theoretical background with experimental skills, we will develop the best strategies to extract the full potential from LHC's physics discoveries. This strategy integrates the LHC searches with other experiments searching for New Physics, such as the Dark Matter searches performed at the Sudbury facility in Ontario.
