Gender differences in sexual response

Sexuality is a fundamental aspect of our human nature. Although it may come as no surprise that women are different from men, given our different reproductive and social roles, gender differences in sexuality are numerous and profound. My research focuses on gender differences in sexual response, that is, how women and men respond physically to sexual stimuli. Along with my colleagues, I have discovered that women respond sexually to a much broader range of sexual stimuli than men do, a pattern that contradicts prevailing theories about human sexuality and sexual response.
