项目摘要

This work aims to characterize the abrasive behavior of support plate material. Both dry and wet sand wheel abrasion tests will be carried out at a range of speeds. The investigation will be conducted experientially for different support plate materials and various loads. This will reveal the sensitivity of the amount of wear to variations in the sliding velocity, the sand dryness, and the loads. An empirical relationship will be developed that describes the wear with respect to the above-mentioned parameters. The results will be used to redesign the support plate material and its configuration.
