This Strategic Project studies brand new challenges in cloud computing that are identified by cloud users and potential users as their foremost concerns in fully adopting cloud computing to drive their economic activities. The end goals include a set of new algorithms that make cloud computing robust and reliable, complementing existing technologies that focus on efficiency and performance, and thereby doubling the adoption rate of cloud computing by Canadian firms and institutions in a five year time window, which in turn may translate into a 20% increase in their operation efficiency, productivity and competitiveness.
