Integrating Third-party Bluetooth-enabled Devices into the Found System

EMCC is a company that has developed custom hardware for many different applications in varied fields such as medical equipment, environmental pollution detection, and machinery control. EMCC is working on the Found System, an innovative system that uses Bluetooth-enabled tags to provide low-cost and high-precision localization services. With the current Found system, a proprietary Bluetooth tag is supposed to be attached to an object that needs to be localized. However, many existing third-party devices, such as laptops and smart phones, are inherently Bluetooth-enabled. Using the built-in Bluetooth module, instead of attaching another Bluetooth tag to a Bluetooth-enabled device, is a more cost-efficient manner to locate the device. In this project, we attempt to find an effective method to integrate third-party Bluetooth-enabled devices into the current Found system.
