项目摘要
This Canada Research Chair in Intelligent Monitoring and Control focuses on critical modern industrial facilities integrating both cyber and physical processes, e.g., modern pipeline systems, smart grids, wireless automated processes, and distributed robotics. Such cyber-physical systems present tremendous challenges to control engineers because of the interactions among control, computation, and communication components, and the presence of both time- and event-driven data. This research program will develop effective alarm solutions for plant operators monitoring abnormal situations. It will investigate systematic methodologies for better control and estimation, incorporating event triggering mechanism, distributed computing, communication constraints, and cyber security in the study.
