Xanadu is researching a relatively new approach to Quantum Computing (QC) based on non-classical**photonics, using squeezed states as a resource for deterministically producing multi-mode entangled systems.**This approach has been demonstrated at the proof-of-concept level using bulk table-top optics in research labs,**but such demonstrations lack scalability; a realistic useful realization would be based on a scalable integrated**photonics platform.**The objective of this project is to connect the Xanadu chips to single-mode optical fibres, so that they can be**interfaced to the outside world. The approach we will pursue is based on photonic wire bonds, which are**fabricated in photoresist using two-photon absorption using a fs laser.**
