英文摘要
The brain varies in size and shape more so than any other organ. However, despite our advancements in neuroscience, we still know very little about why the anatomy of the brain varies so much across species. My research program aims to close this knowledge gap using state-of-the-art imaging technology and one of the largest comparative brain collections in the world, housed in my lab. The studies I have proposed will greatly improve our understanding of how and why the brain has evolved into its diversity of forms and sizes and yield novel insights into the genes responsible for this variation.
