The security and reliability of software systems are of prime importance to ensure useful and trustworthy environments of ever-growing digital control. This research program will propose a variety of techniques for building reliable and secure software by addressing reliability and security issues in different stages of a software development life cycle and subsequent monitoring during operation. The significance of this research is in the design of advanced methods and automatic tools to develop secure and reliable software systems and to detect intrusions and failures. The research will also ensure protection of next generation mobile and cloud computing environments.
