项目摘要
Planning large construction projects is challenging. The construction industry is fragmented and has not yet embraced automated tools that integrate design and construction elements to facilitate reliable project execution. There is a significant gap in construction planning and control systems that needs to be addressed in order to achieve modeling functions essential to delivering optimized and reliable capital construction facilities. Integrated automation has been the guiding vision of the Chair. The third term will focus on realizing the long-term vision for modularized industrial construction, a segment of the construction industry critical to competitiveness of the energy sector and Canadian economy.
