英文摘要
Two fundamental ecological processes predation and connectivity are being altered by landscape change, threatening the loss of species and the integrity of ecosystems. The long-term goal of my research program is to create knowledge that enhances the restoration of landscape-scale ecological processes. To meet this goal, I will first quantify how ecological processes are affected by industrial activity, roads, and urban development. Next, I will work with First Nations, government, and industry, to develop novel resource extraction methods and landscape planning tools to restore ecological processes.
