In order to grow and innovate in this field, IST wants to develop a vehicle-pedestrian collision avoidance system (V2P) based on a proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) application downloaded to cellular devices and mobile interconnected objects (IoT's). Specifically, IST wants to develop a predictive anti-collision device based on GPS geolocation data and LTE connection from cellular phones and other mobile devices connected to cellular networks. To do this, IST ask C2T3's expertise in wireless telecommunications to determine the complementary parameters and data of the GPS and LTE technologies required, to contribute to the refinement of the predictive model and to develop the prototype of the embedded device. For IST, this project is of great importance for its growth as it will allow the development of an innovative anti-collision product that can be deployed in V2P use cases in urban, industrial, agricultural and airport environments, as the current market does not offer a portable solution dedicated to vulnerable users such as pedestrians. The artificial intelligence algorithm solution proposed in this project by IST is in excellent alignment with the foreseeable needs of the market and technology integrators, and offers excellent potential for technological and economic innovation, job creation in Canada, growth for the company and reduction of pedestrian accidents and deaths.
