The CRC in Integrative Wildlife Conservation will establish an internationally renowned research program that will provide an improved understanding of factors affecting the distribution and abundance of animal populations and the structure and function of their ecosystems. By integrating technologies such as modeling, genomics, genetics, and various bio-assay techniques, the program will develop an integrative approach to conservation biology that to date has not been well established. The important conservation questions to be addressed will firmly establish Trent University as leader in wildlife conservation, while training High Quality Personnel in fundamental and emerging areas of biological research.
