The CRC in Cognitive Neurosciences is particularly oriented towards the study of how the brain determines cognition and behaviour and how these affect its structure and function. With research staff, national and international collaborators and students, how sensory systems, such as vision and audition, operate and interact with each other and how they help define emotion recognition. The Chair will examine the effects of the loss of one modality on the remaining senses and how the brain reorganizes to account or compensate for the loss. Finally, it will try to improve substitution prosthesis to allow for some recovery of functions.
