Our society is increasingly becoming Internet-centric. This impacts people directly by enabling them to communicate and obtain content everywhere and at any time, and indirectly by allowing faster and better control of major systems such as the electrical grid, boosting their efficiency. The research program will develop methods and algorithms to enhance the performance of the Internet via fundamental and applied research on wireless networking, and will make the electrical grid greener, smarter and more agile by using the Internet as an enabler. With our industrial partners, we aim to shape the future of the Internet and the electrical grid.
