The Higgs Boson was discovered in 2012 by the ATLAS and CMS collaborations at the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva. After the discovery, a series of measurements aimed at characterizing the newly discovered particle was launched in order to determine whether its properties are consistent with the Standard Model of particle physics, the theoretical framework that describes fundamental particles and their interactions. The proposed research programme will focus on Higgs boson measurements that have not yet been performed and that are essential to determine whether the properties of the observed particle are consistent with the predictions of the Standard Model.
