项目摘要
Fossil fuel shortages and environmental deterioration are serious challenges that human beings will face in the future. Novel advanced energy materials will play a critical role in the development of renewable energy generation and storage technologies. Dr. Chen will use his expertise in advanced energy materials and electrochemistry to lead a vigorous research program on the rational design, controlled synthesis, and comprehensive understanding of various novel energy materials. These materials will be used to develop next-generation high-performance clean energy technologies including fuel cells, rechargeable metal-air batteries and lithium-ion batteries.
