英文摘要
When you read text, your eyes send signals to your brain, and your brain interprets them to decipher words. Dr. Zylberberg's research identifies the language of this signalling, and the learning mechanisms that shape that language. For example, what patterns of nerve impulses correspond to an ¿a¿ or an ¿e¿, and how does the brain learn to generate and interpret those patterns? By answering these questions, Zylberberg's work may help treat those with vision and learning deficits. By revealing how the brain learns to process visual information, his work also leads to new artificial intelligence systems that mimic that learning.
