The Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM), founded in 1968, is the oldest mathematical research institute in Canada, dedicated to the support and advancement of research and training in mathematical sciences, with an inclusive international approach. It organizes thematical semesters, conferences, workshops, and other events at the forefront of science, with a focus on HQP development through postdoctoral programs and other initiatives. The CRM provides leadership in the promotion and development of pure and applied mathematics and statistics, working together with both the French and English language mathematical communities and institutions. The current projects, submitted during the complicated challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, aims, during the next five years, to: expand the international footprint of the CRM as a leading contributor to the development and support of mathematical sciences; expand the training and outreach programs of the CRM and connect researchers within the broad spectrum of mathematical sciences with physical, biological, and social sciences; develop coherence and co-ordination with the other main actors on the Canadian and international scenes leading to increased strength and visibility for the mathematical and statistical communities in Canada and Québec; provide support and resources to disadvantaged and under-represented groups, to increase access to CRMs events and programs for all of Québec and Canadas mathematical communities; support the development of numeracy skills and mathematical talent in Québec.Le Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM), fondé en 1968, est le plus ancien institut de recherche mathématique au Canada. Il se consacre au soutien et à l'avancement de la recherche et de la formation en sciences mathématiques, avec une approche internationale inclusive. Il organise des semestres thématiques, des conférences, des ateliers et d'autres événements à l'avant-garde de la science, en mettant l'accent sur le développement de PHQ par le biais de programmes postdoctoraux et d'autres initiatives. Le CRM assure un leadership dans la promotion et le développement des mathématiques pures et appliquées et de la statistique, en collaborant avec les communautés et institutions mathématiques de langue française et anglaise. Le projet actuel, soumis lors des défis compliqués présentés par la pandémie de COVID-19, vise, au cours des cinq prochaines années, à : étendre l'empreinte internationale du CRM en tant qu'un des principaux contributeurs au développement et au soutien des sciences mathématiques ; étendre les programmes de formation et de sensibilisation du CRM et mettre en relation les chercheurs du large spectre des sciences mathématiques avec les sciences physiques, biologiques et sociales ; développer la cohérence et la coordination avec les autres principaux acteurs sur la scène canadienne et internationale, afin d'accroître la force et la visibilité des communautés mathématiques et statistiques du Canada et du Québec ; fournir un soutien et des ressources aux groupes défavorisés et sous-représentés, afin d'accroître l'accès aux événements et aux programmes du CRM pour toutes les communautés du Québec et du Canada ; soutenir le développement des compétences et du talent mathématique au Québec.
