Quantum sources of light based on perovskite quantum dots

The proposed collaboration project aims to develop efficient and economical single-photon quantum light sources using lead halide perovskite quantum dots (QDs) for next-gen technologies like quantum computing and cryptography. The proposed project will use density functional theory (DFT) to investigate and tune the perovskite QD fine structure and leverage the strengths of our collaborators to fabricate and characterize prototype single-photon light source devices. The project has the potential to position Canada as a leader in advanced technologies.
