The surface dynamics of polymer monolayer is an important topic in the theoretical and experimental researches. The statistical distribution of polymeric molecules at the solution-air interface is the basis to understand their properties. In the aspect of theory, it was found that it should modify the suggestion about average distribution of the segment adsorbed at the surface along the long chain, presented by de Gennes. The correct form of the distribution function for this non-terminal attached chain was deduced analytically in this project. Based on the theoretical result, we finished the computer simulations of the conformational distribution of the complex model, which is tail-train-loop of a chain at the surface. The case, in which the polymer chains are totally parallel or perpendicular to the surface, is only a particular extreme example. As the same time, we gave the simulations of the collapse transition of polymer at the surface layer. The new results for the self-avoiding walk terminally attached to the surface were expended for the two- and three-dimensional Manhattan lattice. The experimental part of this project concerns the surface pressure- area isotherms for the samples of sericin, protein from spider fiber, poly(ethylene oxide) and others. A simple method to determine the surface diffusion coefficient was suggested from the data of dynamic surface tensions of polymers. Based on the recent researches on the man-made spider fiber we have written a new book called " Nonafibers" published in Chinese.
