板块俯冲将形成板块构造的复杂动力学体系,其中既有板块之间的相互作用,又有板块撕裂等板内构造动力行为,同时还可以引发强烈的地幔物质流动。而该动力学体系与边缘海演化、大型板内火山活动之间的关系,是板块理论深化的重要课题。通过高分辨率的地球物理探测可以获取地球内部结构中的速度、温度、水含量以及俯冲板块空间形态等关键信息,从而揭示这类板块边界动力学过程。日本海和东北亚地区处于太平洋板块和菲律宾海板块俯冲的大陆边缘地带,被认为是研究板块边界动力学的理想场所。但受限于高质量海底地震观测数据缺乏、研究方法单一、深部成像分辨率低等因素,该类研究相对薄弱。本课题拟挑选高质量的海底地震观测数据作为陆地地震观测数据的补充,联合使用共谱体波衰减因子测量与Q成像方法以及双震相接收函数方法,对日本海及东北亚地区的壳幔构造进行高分辨率成像,从而揭示板块俯冲在日本海演化及东北亚地区大型板内火山形成过程中的作用。

Plate subduction can form a complex dynamic system of plate tectonics, which includes plates interaction, plate tearing and other intraplate tectonic behavior. It can also induce intensive mantle flow. The relationship between this kind of dynamic system of plate tectonics and the evolution of the Japan sea and intraplate volcanic activities is regarded as an important subject in the advanced theory of plate tectonics. Some important information, such as velocity anomaly, temperature anomaly, water content in the crust and mantle, and the shape of the subducted plate, can be obtained by advanced geophysical techniques. The Japan sea and NE Asia are subducted by the Pacific plate and Philippine sea plate, which Is considered as an ideal laboratory to study the theory of the plate dynamics. However, due to the lack of high-quality ocean bottom seismic data, limited research methods, and blurring resolution in deep of tomography, the deep mantle structure beneath the Japan sea and NE Asia has not been sufficiently studied. This study is aimed to image the crustal and mantle structure with high resolution using the common-spectrum attenuation measuring technique, Q seismic tomography and two-phase receiver function method, investigating the role of the plate subduction in the evolution of the Japan sea and the intraplate volcanism in the NE Asia.
