中重核区N=Z原子核靠近质子滴线,同时又是快质子俘获过程(rp-过程)形成SnSbTe循环达到终结点之前必须经过的路径。因此这一核区的原子核质量数据在原子核结构及核天体物理研究中都有着重要作用。但是,由于它们产生截面很小且寿命很短,许多原子核质量未被测量或者精度不高。因此,本项目计划采用日本理化学研究所的放射性同位素工厂(RIBF)上新建成的储存环等时性质量谱仪Rare-RI Ring开展实验,在获批的9天束流时间内,精确测量100Sn,84Mo及80Zr三个N=Z原子核的质量。结合100Sn质量数据和β衰变数据,我们将可以精确确定100Sn β衰变的B(GT)值从而更好地理解双幻核100Sn中的有效剩余相互作用。利用84Mo和80Zr的高精度质量数据,我们将可以确定FRDM95模型预言的Mo丰质子同位素低α分离能岛是否存在进而确定x射线暴中rp-过程是否存在Zr-Nb循环。
英文摘要
The heavy N=Z nuclei are closed to the proton drip-line and lie along the path of rapid-proton (rp) process before its end point at the SnSbTe cycle. However, the masses of these specific nuclei, which hence play an important role on the research for nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics, are experimentally imprecise or even unknown at present, due to the tiny cross sections and short half-lives. Therefore, we propose precision mass measurements for three N =Z nuclei 100Sn, 84Mo and 80Zr by means of a newly commissioned isochronous mass spectrometry Rare-RI ring based on the RI Beam Factory (RIBF) accelerator complex at the RIKEN Nishina Center in Japan during approved 9-days beam time. Combining the precision nuclear mass of 100Sn and result of its β-decay , a precise B(GT) value of 100Sn β-decay will be determined leading to a better understanding of effective residual interaction in the doubly magic nucleus 100Sn. Using the precision nuclear masses of 84Mo and 80Zr, a conclusion on the possible existence of a island of low alpha separation energy for neutron-deficient Mo isotopes, predicted by FRDM95 model, will be drawn, and thus the uncertainty of the existence of Zr-Nb cycle in the rp-process in x-ray burst will be addressed.
