宇生核素Be-10和Al-26暴露测年技术是目前古冰川地貌最成功的测年方法之一,该方法一个重要的假设前提就是继承性核素浓度可以忽略不计。然而,大量研究表明由于受到继承性核素的影响,冰碛物的真实年代可能被高估,但对于高估的程度还缺乏足够的定量分析。.本研究拟以青藏高原地区海螺沟冰川、八一冰川、岗什卡冰川以及稻城古冰帽为研究对象,通过测定现代冰川区域不同类型的冰碛物样品以及古冰碛垄埋深大于2—3m 样品中的Be-10和Al-26浓度来定量化研究继承性核素对宇生核素暴露测年的影响程度(继承性核素所产生的绝对年代影响和对不同暴露时间冰川地貌影响的相对百分比)。有望为提高冰川地貌宇生核素暴露测年的精确度提供参考,并且为重建冰川活动历史尤其为小冰期以来的冰川演化提供可靠的年代学证据。

In situ terrestrial cosmogenic nuclides (TCN) Be-10 and Al-26 exposure dating technique is one of the most successful methods for dating ancient glacial landforms, which has been applied in the research of glacial geomorphology worldwide since 1980s. With the development of TCN dating technology, reliable and robust chronology is the key to reconstruct the Quaternary glacial and paleoclimate evolution history. An important assumption of TCN dating is that the pre-depositional (or pre-exposure) cosmogenic nuclides concentration, known as inheritance, is negligible. However, the statistical analysis of a large number of TCN Be-10 and Al-26 ages demonstrated that the true ages of the glacial landform might have been overestimated due to the influence of inherited cosmogenic nuclides. So far, the extent of such influence is still unclear. Quantitative research on impact factors of TCN exposure dating uncertainty is then of crucial importance to understand the question..In this study, we will apply the TCN exposure dating to the Hailuogou glacier, Bayi glacier, gonso Ka glacier (Modern glacier area) and paleo-Daocheng ice cap in Tibetan Plateau area, and investigate the influence of the inheritance on the TCN exposure dating through determination of TCN Be-10 and Al-26 concentration in modern till (the TCN Be-10 and Al-26 concentration of the modern sample should be 0 or negligible) and ancient moraine sample with a depth of more than 2-3 m. We aim to provide new data for the research of the affecting factors of TCN exposure dating and the application of this method in glacial geochronology.
