Dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in aquaculture water have an important impact on the bioaccumulation of heavy metals. However, there is still a lack of understanding of the relevant processes and mechanisms, which limits the accuracy of heavy metal risk assessment in aquaculture environment. In this case, Sinonovacula constricta, an important economic bivalve in China, is taken as the research animal. According to the characteristics of DOC concentration and composition between the open culture water (mud flat) and the closed culture water (pond), the accumulation process of Cu from dissolved phase by S. constricta in different DOC concentration and type of seawater environment will be studied, and a toxicokinetic model will be built according to the actual situation. The prediction results of the model will be verified by the data of field sample measurement. The results of this study are expected to reveal how DOC in aquaculture water affects the processes of Cu accumulation and metabolism of S. constricta, and provide scientific basis for protect the ecological environment of aquaculture and ensuring the safety of aquatic products.
