三山五园中的假山及遗存，因其数量多、质量高、材料标准高等特点，具有重要的历史、科学、艺术和文物价值。作为重要的石质文物类型，假山的保护工作尚未有成熟系统的方法技术体系，也没有对直观性现象做规律性的归纳于总结，并提高到理论研究层面。.本课题的出发点是在总结和借鉴相关石质文物研究成果的基础上，以三山五园中的石质假山为主要研究对象，针对假山石材的劣化特征、劣化机理和评价方法等展开工作，为假山保护提供新的研究思路和科学依据。具体包含两部分内容。.第一部分主要提出和总结基于假山石材的劣化现象、分类与分级体系；采用多种数字技术，优化假山石材劣化专题图件编绘方法；提出基于假山石材劣化的勘察和现场检测的技术与路径。.第二部分对案例假山石材典型的劣化现象进行取样与检测，并以对应的新鲜岩石材料为对照；对典型劣化类型特征及形成机理进行研究；进行模拟加速劣化试验，为定量分析劣化机理和制定保护方案提供依据。
