俯冲带的岩浆作用和物质循环机制是国际上的研究热点,雅浦海沟处于独特的构造位置,是研究复杂条件下俯冲带地幔演化、物质循环和岩浆作用的理想场所,关于雅浦海沟俯冲年代及岩浆响应机制还有很大争议,有待进一步解决。本项目将利用中国大洋37航次和38航次蛟龙号深潜获取的雅浦海沟6000米深处的弧前岩浆岩样品,通过岩石矿物学、岩石地球化学的方法,开展40Ar/39Ar热年代学及岩浆作用过程等方面的研究,以期揭示雅浦海沟的俯冲年代、弧前岩浆岩的深部岩浆作用,明确俯冲组分的来源、迁移及对地幔楔的改造方式,建立雅浦海沟的物质循环与岩浆响应模式。识别出未受改造的初始地幔端元,通过二元混合模型定量计算俯冲沉积物对地幔的影响程度,是本课题的关键技术。利用俯冲沉积物化学标志与洋脊俯冲、俯冲侵蚀等地质构造相结合的方法来揭示复杂构造区域俯冲带的物质循环与岩浆响应机制,是本项的特色与创新之处。
英文摘要
Magmatism and material cycling mechanism of subduction zone are the international research hotspots. Yap Trench has its unique tectonic location and is an ideal place for studying mantle evolution, material cycling and magmatism of subduction zone under complex conditions. There is still a lot of controversy about the subduction age and magmatic effect of Yap Trech, which needs to be further resolved.Based on the samples of magmatic rocks from the Yap trench acquired by Jiaolong form 6000m deep on 37 and 38 Chinese cruise, this project will use the methods of petromineralogy, petrogeochemistry to carry out the 40Ar/39Ar geochronology constraints in the initial subduction stage, magmatic sources and magmatic evolution, mantle wedge transformation and material cycle, and magmatic processes under the influence of regional tectonics, etc. In order to reveal the initial subduction age of Yap Trench and the deep magmatism of trench magmatic rocks, to clarify the source and migration of subduction components and the transformation of mantle wedge, and to establish the material cycle and magma response model for Yap Trench. It is a key technique to identify the unmodified initial mantle terminal element and calculate quantitatively the influence of subduction sediment on the mantle through binary mixing model. It is an innovation and characteristic of this project to reveal the mechanism of material cycle and magma response in subduction zone by combining chemical markers of subduction sediments with oceanic ridge subduction, subduction erosion and other geological structures.
