府县城市是中国古代实行地方统治的政治文化中心，是古代城市规划智慧的重要载体，府县城市相关空间遗存是物质文化遗产的重要组成部分。本课题旨在从区域和城市两个层面，分析太行山前府县城市区域布局和城市营建规律，阐明基于规画理论的府县城市规划设计基本方法与技术，发掘中国古代府县城市规划理论与科学方法，努力为当今美好人居环境建设提供历史经验和有益借鉴。

As the political and cultural centers of local governance in ancient China, prefectural and county cities are important carriers of ancient planning knowledge, while relevant spatial remains constitute a significant part of Chinese material cultural heritages. Taking prefectural and county cities along Taihang Mountains as research cases, this study intends to analyze the law of site selection and city construction from both regional and urban levels, and clarify the basic planning and design methods and techniques for those cities based on Guihua Theory. As planning theory and scientific methods of the prefectural and county cities in ancient China are explored, this study contributes to the construction of better human settlements by providing historical experience and useful lessons.
