液晶弹性体既保留了液晶的有序性又具有聚合物网络的弹性,这种独特的结构和性能使得液晶弹性体具有广泛的应用前景,成为科学家关注的热点。光响应性液晶弹性体是液晶弹性体研究的重点,目前报道的光响应性液晶弹性体几乎全部以偶氮苯作为光响应性基团,可选种类少,性能单一。本项目拟将含有氰基二苯乙烯基团的单体与含有多重氢键作用的单体共聚得到一系列具有不同化学结构和性能的光响应液晶弹性体材料,构建基于氰基二苯乙烯的液晶弹性体化学结构与性能的关系。氰基二苯乙烯的刚性棒状结构、顺反异构和聚集诱导荧光增强特性分别赋予该类液晶弹性体的液晶性、光响应性和荧光特性,多重氢键作用的引入还可赋予该类弹性体的自愈合性。将对光或热具有不同响应性的两种单体与含有多重氢键作用的单体共聚,还有望制备出具有分步可控光热形变的液晶弹性体材料。通过本项目研究,可大大丰富液晶弹性体的性能和种类,为高性能光响应液晶弹性体的制备提供新方法。
英文摘要
Liquid crystal elastomers not only retain the orderliness of liquid crystals, but also possess the elasticity of polymer networks. These unique structures and properties make liquid crystal elastomers have a wide application prospects, and now liquid crystal elastomers have become a research hotspot of scientists. Photoresponsive liquid crystal elastomers are the focuses of research on liquid crystal elastomers. However, the majority of the reported photoresponsive liquid crystal elastomers have been constructed using azobenzene as photoresponsive group, which is characterized by limitation in choice and singularity in performanece. In this project, a series of new photoresponsive liquid crystal elastomers with different chemical structures and properties will be prepared by copolymerization of cyanostilbene monomers with monomers containing multiple hydrogen bonds. The relationship between the structures and properties of the new liquid crystal elastomers will be also clarified. The rigid rod structure, cis-trans isomerization and aggregation-induced emission enhancement properties of cyanostilbene endow the liquid crystal elastomers with liquid crystal properties, photo response characteristics and fluorescence behaviors respectively. The introduction of multiple hydrogen bonds endows liquid crystal elastomers with self-healing property. On the other hand, novel self-healing fluorescent liquid crystal elastomers with stepwise controllable photo and thermal induced deformations properties are expected to be prepared by copolymerization of monomer containing multiple hydrogen bonds with two monomers which are responsive to different light or temperature. Through this project, the properties and types of liquid crystal elastomers can be greatly enriched, and a new method for the preparation of high-performance photoresponsive liquid crystal elastomers can also be provided.
