北温带植物的间断分布是最著名和复杂的地理分布格局之一,其形成机制与时空演变一直是植物地理学研究和关注的热点。北半球复杂的地质、气候学和古生态历史,使得导致原先广布的中生性森林带破碎化及地理隔离事件的各种因素反复出现及变化,不同类群的间断成因、分化时间、起源地、扩散路径及与其他地区植物间的联系都大相径庭。之前对北温带间断分布类群的生物地理学研究主要集中在木本/落叶类群及多年生草本,而寄生植物代表类群则关注较少。本项目拟选取檀香目米面蓊属、檀梨属及油杉寄生属为研究对象,在前期工作基础上,加强野外调查,挖掘形态性状,利用多核基因片段和叶绿体基因组数据,重建三属高分辨率的系统发育树。并以此为框架,基于多种模型比较来进行时间估算与祖先分布区重建,结合生态位模型与寄主调查等资料,探讨北温带间断分布寄生植物代表类群的物种界限、洲际分化及生物地理时空演变规律,并为北半球植物区系演化历史提供实例,积累数据。

Biogeographic disjunction in the North Temperate is one of the most well-known and complicated distributional patterns in the world. Its formation and temporal/spatial changes has always been the hot spot for plant biogeographic researches and attentions. The complex geological, climatological and paleoecological history of the Northern Hemisphere resulted in the repeated shifts and emergence in the factors responsible for the vicariance events. The reason for disjunction, the divergence time, original place, dispersal route and the relationships with other areas’ flora differs among different lineages. Most previous related studies have mainly focused on the woody/deciduous and perennial herbs, while parasitism is the least discussed life form in the North Temperate disjunct groups. In this study, we will focus on three genera from Santalales, i.e., Buckleya, Pyrularia and Arceuthobium for integrative study. We will expand our filed sampling and excavate more morphological characters on the basis of previous studies, and reconstruct robust phylogenies of the three genera based on multi-nuclear DNA regions and chloroplast genome. Combining results of molecular dating and biogeographic reconstruction based on phylogenies and different models, ecological niche modeling and comprehensive host survey, we will discuss the specific delimitation, the intercontinental differentiation and the biogeographic history of the parasitic plant representatives of the North Tmeperate disjuncts. This study will also provide examples and accumulate data for the research on the evolutionary history of the North Hemisphere flora.
