转型期自然的社会建构过程、机制及其效应研究：基于广东与云南的比较

随着新文化地理理论和实践的深入，相关研究的领域愈加宽广。其中自然的社会建构成为当下国际社会文化地理研究中最活跃和重要的研究分支。自然的社会建构强调社会对自然的建构与再生产，认为自然不是僵化的物质实体，而是动态的、不稳定的社会建构过程。社会存在于自然中，自然亦会被社会所建构。当前中国地理科学对“人-地系统”这一核心概念的关注在自然地理和人文地理研究之间存在较大的分离和割裂。而全球变化进程促使自然与社会间越来越密切地融合与互动。项目拟通过广东与云南地区为主要案例地的对比研究，探讨中国自然的社会建构的历史过程与路径，透视其主要的影响因素及其运行方式，阐释自然的社会建构对区域人地系统的影响机理。以期改变国内人文地理与自然地理研究融合不足而分歧有余的格局，推进学科的整合和提升。现实层面也能为更深入地理解人在不同环境适应过程中的“扎根性”提供理论支持，为构建和谐社会与社会融合提供一定的参证。

In social and cultural geographies studies, the discussion of the social construction of nature has gradually and increasingly been becoming one of the most burgeoning and significant research directions. Emphasizing ‘nature’ as a dynamic and unstable process of social construction rather than a rigid material entity, the social construction of nature focuses closely on how the social factors have impact on the construction and the reproduction of nature. In this sense, the nature and the society are inalienable and interactive with each other. However, considering the nature as a unique concept in physical geography and the society as a unique notion in human geography, Chinese geography studies seem to have overstated the division between physical geography and human geography in their concerns of human-environment relationship. Therefore, the examination of the social construction of nature has always been neglected in existing Chinese scholar analyses. China is currently experiencing a great transformation from the agrarian society into the modern society, giving rise to the growing concerns of the environmental change and relevant challenges. In the meantime, the interaction between nature and society has also been greatly promoted by the increasing process of globalization. In this sense, the investigation of the social construction of nature needs urgently to be put onto the agenda of Chinese geography study. In highlighting the knowledge gap in Chinese geography study, this project aims to examine the processes, mechanisms, and effects of the social construction of nature in transitional China drawing on the comparative case study of Yunnan Province and the Pearl River Delta, Guangdong Province. In doing so, this project aims to build a theoretical framework of the social construction of nature and thus narrow down the gap between nature and society, between physical geography and human geography. Practically, this project seeks to provide support for the understanding of how people adapts to the environment changes and therefore provide suggestions and implications for promoting social integration and building up a harmonious society in China.
