昆虫多样性演化与时代、环境等存在密切联系。中生代是生物演化的关键时期,脉翅目昆虫在该时期出现了许多特异性的类群,其仅分布在中生代,而且形态特征与现代类群完全不同,这些昆虫的形成和演化一直是个谜。本项目充分利用我国特有的昆虫化石资源,在分类学研究的基础上开展中生代特异性昆虫多样性分化机制研究:1)挖掘中生代特有脉翅目昆虫的物种多样性,探讨其与现代类群之间的关系;2)开展特异性脉翅目昆虫功能形态研究,结合伴生动植物、环境、气候等信息,推断其在中生代特殊环境下行为生态以及其在当时生态系统中的作用和功能,为解析其多样性分化机制提供证据支持;3)整合多样性研究、功能形态研究结果,探究脉翅目昆虫在中生代特有环境下的多样性起源和分化机制,为解析现代昆虫多样性形成机制提供参考依据。
英文摘要
The evolution of insect diversity is closely related to its contemporaneous environment and other elements. The Mesozoic Era is a key time of biological evolution, and Neuroptera evolved many specialized lineages that only were recorded in this period but showed quite different morphological traits to their modern descendants. To date, few works were mentioned on their origin and evolution. In this research project, we will focus on these specialized Mesozoic neuropteran insects to reveal the mechanisms of their origin and diversification, utilizing the abundant Mesozoic insect fossil of China. 1) Describe more new specialized neuropterans and enrich the species diversity of the specialized groups from the Mesozoic. Explore the interrelationships between them and the modern lineages. 2) Conduct the study of the functional morphology on the specialized insects. Integrated all elements including the contemporaneous plant, animal, environments, climate, and so on, it is aimed to reconstruct the biological and behavioral features of these special insects, and also infer their ecological function during the Mesozoic period. 3) Combing all results of the studies of insect diversity and functional morphology, it would conduct the study to infer the potential reasons on origin and evolution of these specialized neuropterans under the particular background of the Mesozoic. It would be greatly helpful to understand the historical evolution and diversification to the modern insects.
